DUKE
We are considering finding a new home for Duke in the Calgary area where he would
receive more attention than he gets at Windyhill. Duke is a very
laid back and easy going beagle which is an excellent trait for a
family pet, but when particpating in agility his heart is really not
in it.
Duke's ideal home would be with a quiet family or older couple who
like to go for walks, always on a leash and someone with a big
fenced back yard. Duke likes to be around people but can be
independent and just be content being in the same room with you.
Duke is still intact, and I may some time in the future still
want him to sire a litter, so for this reason I would keep my name
on his registration as a co-owner. I find having an intact
male in the same yard as bitches who are coming into season can be
very hard on the male, so for this reason it would be better for
Duke to live somewhere else close by and only come to visit when he
is needed.
